Many ways to make charitable donations including having your hair / beard shaved

There are many ways to donate to charities such as: Giving Money, Volunteering, Having Fund Raisers, Donating Cars and of course Giving your Hair. Kenny C, of the Modifiers Car Club, also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, invited us to a charitable hair shaving event. Kenny is well know in the Boston metrowest area for obvious reasons as “Santa”. Around this time of year his hair and beard are what could be called “out of control”. This is done purposely so that he and several other Eagles can shed their locks / beards for cancer and wheelchair charities. Continue reading →

Modifiers Car Club 28 Ford Restoration Project Sneak Preview

Here’s a sneak preview of an upcoming story about the restoration of a 28 Ford by Bob G of the Modifiers Car Club. When found the car was in a field with trees and vines growing in and around it. The car needed to be “cutout” with a chain saw from the vegetation prior to being hauled to Bob’s garage where the transformation took place. The work to turn this rusty frame into a beautiful hot rod will be available for your viewing pleasure soon.

Modifiers Car Club April 2017 Monthly Meeting News Updates

From the April Monthly Club Meeting, we have some very cool news to share regarding members of our Modifiers Car Club.

Mike and Doris Diez, who joined the club after attending our 2017 car show, took their 1984 Monte Carlo SS to the 43rd Annual World of Wheels. It was quite a job to get their 4×4 beauty to the show but with the help of club members they did it. In order to get the car on the trailer they had to remove the monster tires and replace them with substitute tires and reverse the sequence when they arrived at the show. The return trip was simpler since they had a flat bed for the ride home. It was all worth it as they went home with a 1st prize award. Let’s hear it for Mike and Doris.

Next, Art T announced that his good friend and club member Joe C celebrated a recent birthday by adopting a “red headed lady”. Everyone was in quite a shock until Joe revealed that the “red headed lady” is a 98 Corvette. Needless to say that Joe is in “Vette Heaven”. Now Art and Joe can motor to events each in their own Corvette. Best wishes to Joe with his new baby.
